As of February 12, 2009, The sale you've come to expect on many items at Gifts From Above also applies to online orders. Many books, bibles, cds, dvds, and apparel will be discounted 20% when you purchase them from our webstore, Giftsfromabove.net.

This presents a certain difficulty, however, as the ability to discount items relies on a few factors that will not be known until the order is processed. The primary factor is whether or not the item is in stock at the physical GFA store. If the item is not in stock, it will have to be ordered, which isn't a problem, but it brings us to our next factor. On items that we order, we are able to give the discount dependent on the vendor we purchase it from.

Lets say for our newsletter purposes, that Vendor A allows us to give a 20% discount, while Vendor B does not. We give priority to Vendor A, but if Vendor A is out of stock, we have to order the item from Vendor B, and we are unable to give you a discount on the item.

While the chances are most likely above 80% that the item will be discounted, Gifts From Above cannot legally guarantee the discount online. We advise online customers to call when placing the order and ask if we will be able to give a discount on the item. A representative will be able to check if an item is in-stock.

Gifts From Above now carries and distributes Roberta Klein’s Grafted In Lapel Pin in addition to her book Love Grafted In. The gold-toned pin is presented on a lovely blue card inscribed with poetry by Ms. Klein. The poem is quoted at the end of this article.About the symbol, Roberta said this on her blog, Baubles from Bobbie.

The 3-part Grafted-In religious symbol is indeed real -- it was discovered at an archaeological site in Israel late in the last century. It is not something I could have made up, nor would have been able to fabricate. To the best of my knowledge, all pieces of the pottery which were etched with the symbol (and there were more than just one) have disappeared. But -- not before they were documented and photographed.

In writing, I took liberties with the discovery -- for not only did the symbol fit well into my story line, but also having traveled to Israel (as well as taken group tours there) I was intrigued by the symbol itself, the message it bears and the fact that its discovery and existence has been overlooked by so many. I wanted to do whatever I could to bring attention to the piece and even now am making arrangements to distribute the Grafted-In lapel pin that was discussed in the story.

The symbol is made up of three parts: The Menorah, The Star of david, and The Icthys. It is meant to represent the integration of the followers of Christ into God’s covenants with the people of Israel. On their website, Richard and Sheryl Pagh give a great explanation of the symbol and it’s meaning:

The "Grafted-In" Symbol or the triglyph "Menorah/Star of David/Fish" is the Messianic Seal of the Jerusalem Kehillah (church). First to Second century artifacts discovered in a cave near King David's tomb on Mount Zion in the 1960's bear this symbol. Some experts have concluded that it was an identifying mark of the early Jewish Believers in Yeshua (Jesus) as a symbol that tied together their traditions and faith in a growing Messianic community.

The Menorah at the top represents the Torah, the fulfillment of the promises to Abraham and that special calling to the people of Israel. The Magen David (Star of David) is a symbol of the kingdom and a reminder that the son of David, Yeshua the King, will sit on the throne of David. The fish has a rich history of identification with the believer. It was a common symbol for believers because the Greek word for fish (ICHTHYS) was used as an acronym for "Yeshua, Son of God, Savior".

This three-part design beautifully illustrates the truth of Romans 11:17-18, that all believers are grafted into the Jewish Root through faith in Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel, the Fulfiller of the Torah and the rightful King in the line of David.
